Pacific Northwest Carpenters Union

THE CHALLENGE

How can we track, manage, and visualize construction job assets?  The Pacific Northwest Carpenters Union sought a field application to enable its personnel to use, track, manage, and visualize their jobs, sites, and agreements. Their previous attempts proved faulty, so we accepted the challenge.  The application needed to combine their existing job site data, often stored on paper, and internal comprehensive financial data. The Union also required a mechanism to on-board contractors via an online portal. The factors brought together would have the effect of a complete digital transformation of the organization.

OUR INSIGHTS

We began each project with a conversation to ensure that our approach aligned with the Union’s vision and philosophy.

OUR APPROACH

Once we established their motivations and goals, we began functional and infrastructural modeling. In an agile fashion, we iterated over project sprints that began with UI/UX design, then led itself to the development stages. Throughout the process, we made sure to work closely with the client, ensuring they were supporting along the way.

The Results

The digital transformation of The Pacific Northwest Carpenters Union now includes a suite of integrated applications that enhance organizational effectiveness and field operations. These applications (Framework, Dashboard, Contractor Portal, and Market Recovery) eliminate the need for paper assets and function as one unified system.
