Powering progress with real-time field visibility and complete operational workflows for EAS Carpenters

The EAS Regional Council of Carpenters (EASRCC) was working across disparate and disconnected systems to manage all of their business processes — executive goal tracking, political funding requests and tracking, contract administration, market recovery requests, in-field job site tracking, in-office job reporting, and contractor and company profiles — with no shared foundation and a lot of stacks of paper.

Integral partnered with EAS Carpenters to design and build a total business workflow system connecting field to office. Built on a unified database, the platform consolidated every layer of the organization’s operations into a seamless, authoritative system, giving personnel at every level the visibility and tools they need to run one of the nation’s largest unions.

  1. Define the decision

EAS Carpenters personnel make consequential decisions every day:

    • How can we measure that we are growing as a Union?
    • How can we keep track of and pursue political support?
    • How can we support Reps visiting jobs in the field?

Those decisions and questions were being made in silos across disconnected systems with no shared visibility or single source of truth. The core issue wasn’t a lack of data. It was that the data live across multiple systems – on paper, in spreadsheets, and across tools that didn’t speak to each other. Field activity wasn’t visible in the office. Financial and compliance workflows had no connection to operational data. Leadership had no reliable way to track progress against council goals.

    The decision to solve:
How can EAS Carpenters connect field operations, contract administration, political funding, market recovery, and executive reporting into one governed system – so that every user, at every level, can act with confidence on accurate, real-time information.

A map-driven job site view giving field reps and managers a shared spatial picture of active jobs, priorities, and status across the region.
  2. Design the system

Integral partnered with EAS Carpenters to design a total business workflow system built around how the organization actually operates, from field reps on job sites to executives tracking council-wide goals.

    The system design focused on:

    • Establishing a single system of record across all business processes for an organization spanning 25 locals
    • Giving field reps the tools to track and report their job site activity in real time
    • Giving management visibility into their teams’ field activity and performance
    • Connecting field data to office data so leadership could see into operations at every level
    • Providing executives a unified view across the entire organization to track union-wide goals
    • Streamlining a multi-role approval workflow for market recovery requests across all levels of the organization
    • Digitizing and unifying the political donation request and tracking workflow for the political team
    • Capturing all nuanced user roles and permissions across a large, hierarchical organization

The result was a clear architecture for bringing order to an organization spread across disconnected systems and processes and replacing it with one place to work, track, and decide.

  3. Build the platform

Integral designed and built a suite of four integrated applications operating as one unified system under the EAS Carpenters’ Framework platform, including a Contractor Portal for market recovery submissions, a Political External Compliance application for external donation approvals, and the core Framework and Dashboard applications serving all internal users across 25 locals.

Framework is the map-based operational layer, giving Reps, Senior Council Reps (SCRs), and Regional Managers a spatial view of job sites, contractor profiles, and field workflows.

Dashboard is the organizational intelligence layer:

    • A calendar view of Rep, SCR, and Regional Manager activity
    • An inbox of pending actions and approvals across all workflows
    • A company and contractor profile catalogue
    • A job and contractor activity tracking dashboard
    • Contract administration tools
    • An executive dashboard with council-wide goal progress reporting
    • A political funding dashboard with request tracking and breakdowns
    • A market recovery dashboard with funding approvals and breakdowns
    • Organization-wide settings and permissions management
The Pinpoint dashboard surfacing market recovery requests, bid responses, and budget tracking in one governed environment for leadership and approvers across the organization.
  4. Deliver the insight

EAS Carpenters now operates from a single, unified platform purpose-built for the exact way their organization works. The system didn’t simplify their processes — it honored them, capturing nuanced approval flows, role hierarchies, and workflows specific to one of the nation’s largest regional councils.

The platform eliminated the need for disconnected paper and digital systems across all 25 locals, reducing redundant and duplicate data and giving the organization the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues for the first time. Reps use the system actively in the field, and it is now the system of record for daily operations.

    The insight delivered:

    • Accurate reporting on job turn-arounds, agreement creation, new members, and user activity
    • Streamlined approval workflows for market recovery and political donation requests, reducing back-and-forth across roles
    • Unified ability to prioritize opportunities through assigned users, priority jobs, and dashboard filtering
    • Improved executive and leadership goal tracking across the full organization
    • A scalable platform actively used across all 25 locals and built to grow with the union

Every role, from field rep to executive, has exactly what they need.

  5. Support real-world use

EAS Carpenters has been an active partner throughout the entire lifecycle of the platform. Through ongoing collaboration and direct engagement with stakeholders across roles and locals, the system has grown steadily from consolidating a handful of processes into a comprehensive platform that touches every part of the organization.

Each addition has been purpose-built to their exact business requirements, not generic functionality bolted on, but features designed around how their teams actually work and what they need to grow.

For a union, growth isn’t optional. If the organization isn’t securing new jobs, agreements, and members, it’s losing ground. The platform was built with that urgency in mind — giving every role the tools to do their part, and giving leadership the visibility to make sure it’s happening.

As a trusted partner, we continue to develop new features, optimize day-to-day operations, and evolve the platform to support EAS Carpenters' growth across all 25 locals.
